I’d just got the 8kX 2days ago, the unit is wonderful. I’m happy with the most of its feature.
image quality is outstanding. but brightness is not enough for me.
I use maximum backlight for my older 8k unit. that suited my taste. it gives me the best immersion.
But with 8kX the option is gone. I wonder why you guys do that. that’s only thing that I hate with it.

This feature will be introduced in later versions of Pitool, which is the result of my confirmation with the Pimax team.
A huge jump in clarity?
Yes!! It’s 2 -2.5 times clearer by feeling. (not numerically)
The X can use a bit extra punch in brightness/colors, but is way better than my 5K+ …if you say it helped your 8K a lot I’m excited to try on the X

@Alex.liu please increase max brightness value for backlight brightness setting, it wasnt enought especially for 5kXR,
