Assetto Corsa and DFR... performance gain possible?

Does anyone know what’s the problem that AC isn’t benefiting from DFR? Is it the DX version the sim is using? There have been so many improvements made… custom shaders patch, SOL and so on… is it possible to gain performance through eyetracking… DFR?.. by modding?.. it is there a restriction because of the DX version…?

If AC has issues with FFR then DFR is likely to have the same issues.

Okay, but what’s the problem at all?..

DFR is just Using Nvidia’ s FFR with Eye Tracking as far as I know why it is limited to Nvidia 20series cards. On the plus Amd and Microsoft are adding VRS at sometime in the foreseeable future recent articles have said.

Essentially in game native support for FR is better than an up conversion.

Oculus SDK supports several FR rendering concepts and potential Eye Tracking; hopefully pimax can tap into that with games that support it.

Don’t know the specifics because the AC engine was built-in house and not seen any details from Kunos, but probably doesn’t do forward rendering / support MSAA, both of which are requirements for Nvidia VRS to work properly, and both FFR and DFR work off that.

ACC moved to Unreal Engine 4, I don’t have it to test but presumably that is more likely to support VRS.
