i have a steamvr shortcut where i have to double tap home to bring up the vr menu, but instead it brings up the useless pimax overlay
i press and hold to turn off a controller, somehow pimax overtakes the option and recenters my playspace so i have to redo it.
so, any way to disable these controller shortcuts?
I have been making steady improvements with user interface. Here it can be harder to find support topics. I have a specific area there for pimax. With a dedicated help topic. Where as the Op you can choose a response that solves the problem. The solution is quoted in the Op post and topic gets marked solved.
Please check it out and provide feedback. The link will automatically elevate your user level and add you to Pimaxians group.
The layout is more user friendly & better organized as it is a fresh forum.
There’s no way to disable it at the moment, but I’ve forwarded this to the dev team for further investigation on how we can configure the button mapping.
Thanks, hopefully something gets done.
I’m sick of having to redo my room setup every time I turn off my controller because holding menu recenters my playspace.
I’m having this same issue also where the Pimax overlay shows up instead when pressing the Home button on my Vive controller. This issue starts to happen every time after I use the VR Keyboard in the Steam VR overlay to chat in steam with my friends. Steam VR overlay just disappears while typing and everything get’s glitchy. After this happens, Pimax Overlay shows up instead of Steam VR and I can only get rid of this if I restart Steam VR app on desktop. This wasn’t happening until I update to Pimax Play 1.33.01 in my experience.
I’ve been asking for it to be disabled too for index.
even holding the button to turn off my controller, resets my playspace…
and i come back to my spacespace off again, then i have to redo the whole thing again.
It’s the other way around usually, that’s what I mean when I say it glitched or something. Usually I have to double tap to get the Pimax Overlay but after I used the keyboard in Steam VR overlay I guess it flips around to what you’re saying. And then it’s also not consistent because sometimes just single tapping the home button brings up the Pimax Reset Play space icon. This issue can be replicated just by using the Steam VR overlay keyboard, you start typing something and the issue comes up…like I said I was playing Half Life Alyx also.
