All Video is 90 Degrees or Sideways

Hello, Got me new 4k Pimax today and everything seem to install Ok. But when I view video everything is Sideways in the Goggles. Basically it needs to be turned counter clockwise 90 degrees for the video to be viewable. Even the Pimax Background is 90 degrees out. The video seems like it would be clear if it were orientated correctly. I have tried everything I know to try. I have an HP Pavilion DV7 Windows 10 64bit I have tried all of the settings I can think of with the video card. I can change the resolution and it changed the goggles but not the orientation.

Any ideas? Thank you,

Hi (welcome), I don’t use Windows10, but on Windows7 within the display settings, there is an Orientation selection (portrait / landscape), can you not adjust that for the PiMAX display?

I have this option but it’s grey’ed out. This comes up sideways no matter how I do it. I guess I’m going to have to call tech support. I had hoped someone would have had this issue but I guess not. So far it’s $350 worth of junk. I hope tech support can help.

Than you,

Hi,
Do you have on-board video enabled on your PC?
If so make sure it’s turned off in the bios.
Also, make sure you only use the HDMI on your video card not on the PC motherboard.
Does this happen in both Extended and Pimax mode?
Have you tried SteamVR and is that also rotated?

Other than that, support should be able to help.
Contact them on Skype and have Teamviewer installed.

Good luck,
Luke
