I have a i7 6700K @ 4.6. For single core performance the 8600K @ 3.6 (stock) has only a 4% increase over the 6700K @ 4.0 (stock). Can I assume I can upgrade to the 2080Ti and not see a big issue?
Well, im going to upgrade from 1080ti to 2080ti and im also using 6700k at 4.6ghz. Honestly to say i didnt expected it to be not good enough. If needed i can even overclock it to 5ghz. Hyper threading is there. See not much sense to upgrade for another 4 cores…
update: ah, 8600k is 6 cores. Well, that requires some more time to read overclockers forums and see benchmarks. I believe in VR apps core speed is more important than core amount, but i might be wrong as well.
