8KX Question - Base Stations

I’m a backer of the 8KX limited edition. I’m assuming that I will need
the Vive base stations and controllers as they aren’t included in this
package. Correct?

Yes, you will need some base stations and controllers. Unless you only play simulators with steering wheel, flight stick, or gamepad. They dont have to be vive brand, however that is the only available option at this time. You should have better options when the 8kx is finished. I would wait unless you find a really good deal on a vive set.

So the X only comes with the headset? I admit I’m confused about what we’re actually getting as Kstarters. Knuckel like controllers? Eye-tracking?

And how does one take advantage of the “get an 8K in December and ship it back in May to get the 8kX”?

If you backed the “Full Package” you will get the headset, 2 base stations, and 2 knuckle style controllers. If you backed just the headset your getting just the headset… You get all the stretch goal items regardless of what you backed.

I’m a 8kx early bird backer but just the headset alone. Do you think I could ask for a full package loan and then switch with the headsets add, money for trackers?
