In your case being in the usa there is a good chance that your device was indeed shipped but not direct
I piad 0 VAT or customs duties on my 5k+ which came from an EU based distribution center, it used to be located in the UK, then our country self destructed and no one wants to come here for business anymore. I think it is now in Germany.

I hope your right Pimaxusa said earlier in a thread “your case” to someone in the USA. He never replied moments later to someone asking if a similar situation would apply to the U.K. I also never paid any duty with the 5k Sweviver said pimax lost a lot of money and would not repeat this. Can’t remember exact post.
I hope so too, it would be a pleasant surprise. If the updated hinges are there that would be a massive bonus too. I got the revision 2 version of the 5K+ from the KS, I was a sub 2k backer number and ended up being one of the last to recieve in the EU. It did take the sting off a bit.

I really wouldn’t mind waiting if this indeed is the case I just want to know 100% truthfully what is happening to my upgrade order.

Fingers crossed. I also got a perfect 5k+ for my wait. I REALLY hope your right. My whole post was about being fobbed off and told unreliable info. It doesn’t help and for me is worse.
