So one thing I’ve noticed is the MAS is rather… err… lackluster. Anyways, I see others messing with Windows settings and software to try to improve the sound. I use a software on all my PCs that drastically improves sound through headphones called Boom 3D. So I decided to activate it on the 8KX and it does improve the sound. It’s not going to give it full, rich bass, but it does improve it.
I’m using the 3D Surround setting and activated the equalizer. You can test the sound by selecting the 8KX USB speakers in the program and playing music or a movie in the background.
Does Boom 3D allow you to change the left/right balance (per-ear volume)? I’m partially deaf in my left ear and would like to increase the volume on that side, but the Windows USB headphone driver won’t let me do that.
That’s good to know, since it should work for the DMAS too. I’m not using the MAS standard speakers. I’m using wireless USB headphones and the Balance setting is hidden, so I can’t change it.
