I’m experiencing this for the first time where I get a purple led indicator and flashing green chevron but the headset still works fine as usual. What could this issue be?
I don’t have an 8KX so hesitant to reply - could it be Parralel projections option is on?

Yes, that’s usually the indicator that PP is activated.

That’s perfectly normal, and operating as it’s supposed to (you just never noticed I guess) 
When PP mode is active, the Power LED will be purple and the chevron will be flashing.
(this is true for the 5K+ as well)

I hate the flashing, common sense tells you that its indicating an error of some sort.

Well, sort of correct, isn’t it - the fact that we have to waste 30% GPU performance on the stupid need for PP is fundamentally wrong…

agreed… chevron should not be flashing, the purple LED is enough in my opinion.
