Ok, dear Sweviver, the RIGHT PATH is to wait the MAS, to include it in the box with the headset
and to test V5 until MAS is ready for reability
PS @mixedrealityTV is already in confusion , you might imagine backers having Pimax 8KX without MAS , here in the forums there are 20 followers that backed Pimax 8k X. The others will fall from clouds!!!

Hi Martin,
I am not under any NDA. I have not signed an NDA for this unit. I signed one for the very first Pimax 8K. This NDA was lifted long time ago.
This is just a simple unboxing, where I look at material, build quality and comfort. Since I now know that this is not a final review unit, I am not going to review the sound coming out of this particular MAS. Also I am going to add an in-video card where I let people know that this is not the final review unit.
Probably it would have been better to tell me all of this before I received the unit. I was simply told I get the 8K X and was provided with a UPS tracking code.

Im sure as well. But the fact people now think its a final unit, results in any possible problem coming out after this will be considered as a final flaw. Do you personally want this to happen?
Ive had 8KX for monhs now and thats for testing and fiding problems. And for public roadshows. Which clearly stated its pre-production units.

The Pimax NDA is not for any specific unit. Pimax would not have sent u any headset without an NDA signed upfront.
Now, I know u wont do a “review” of this. But stating its a final unit without getting the information will only create confusion among your audience. But maybe thats what you want?
I didn’t send the unit personally to you. If I did, it would include the details. Internally, we have had discussions and made agreement about sending any new units which should never happen without proper information, especially after the 8K Plus confusion.

thx for the video, Seb! but, as this unit is the same as on CES there are also no new informations. just curious if you will post some through the lens videos/pictures as those are most impressive and those lenses and image impression won’t change anymore, right? to test and discuss about performance (audio, fps etc) it would be fair and make sense to wait for and check only on the final unit. imho.

Martin. No disrespect but you have the whole Pimax community under the impression production is underway and the first small batch of units was being sent before Chinese NY. Now there’s a whole list of improvements that still need to be made before final production even starts. That will likely take months with the holiday and now the Coronavirus lock down. It’s probably best you clarify this in an official post rather than have it buried here in this thread

Actually there are headsets out there without DAS. Plus Backers and pre orders a like have requested to receive while waiting.
But on the purchase side the 8k+ and 8kX require you to choose a MAS.

Well they need to stop sending units out without any proper communication on it. A letter in the box is step one and emails.
Appears still in the dark ages; having info posted after the fact and not through any proper channels.

The first NDA was specific to the M1. A new one would be required after that. If you recall it was stipulated the NDA on the m1 was not lifted and was why other testers were upset with the agreement to release info together was not honored.
Pimax has created the confusion no different than Tyriel & voodoodx
So if Seb hasn’t signed anything for pimax since the m1 he is correct.

I do not like to have my Pimax 8K X with the strap
and the MAS later.
No NDA beforehand = No problem for @mixedrealityTV
If the old NDA says. This NDA lasts forever and ever with every product of Pimax…okay. But if it does not. Sorry, that’s the companys fault… which would be nothing new.

Feels wrong to send out a test unit at this stage, only makes confusions on all parts. Send out to backers then when it finished send to reviewers.
