My index gets warm, and the HDMI plug get hot, Maybe one of these would help.

So i just ran it for over an hour. Check the FLIR camera after and 40.8C was the hottest. Keep in mind, i have sim racing fans on my rig that probably cooled it down a bit, but its still way better than it was when it was connected to my motherboard.

The real problem may be when sitting idle for any amount of time. Maybe everyone will have to unplug it while not in use. I would hate to leave it and it has a meltdown!
That was possibly the issue. I always kept my 5K+ plugged in even with the PC off but the USB’s had power going thru them. It never got hot. With the 8K X i had to enable ErP in the bios to shut down the power to my usb ports when i shut down the PC, which then shuts down the power to the headset.
