8K videos with 8KX and card 1080TI

Have 8KX and 1080TI. When i view 7K or 8K VR180 videos there are slow.
Tested with Simple VR Player, DeoVR, Whirligig (all set to DirectShow). Have installed K-Lite codec pack and in Codec Tweak Tool all set to LAV.
In LAV video filter: Hardware decoder “DXVA2 (copy-back)”. When i set to “NVIDIA CUVID” the video plays faster but not normal.
Is this problem with 7K/8K videos and 1080TI normal and is this gone if i buy a RTX 3090 ?

Update:
Thanks for info, i installed HEVC from Microsoft Store and now with “NVIDIA CUVID” its near ok. With “DXVA2 (copy-back)” its stutters or very slow.
Taskmanager GPU: 3D=62% and Decode=34%
Is the 1080TI at performance limit? Any experience with 7K/8K video and RTX 3080/3090 ?

I have the same setup as you and 8k video playback studders immensly then stops after a while. Not sure the cause.

@vrgamerdude might have some insights.

Might need to buy the hevc hardware codec in the Windows store for 1 dollar
