8K plus after 2 days

Yeah, changing the maxrecomendedsettings makes no difference on mine.

Have you enabled Fixed Foveated Rendering (FFR)? If so, try turning it off (select the “Close” radio button), since this can cause what you are seeing.

my pitool version don’t have that option to close. :frowning:

maybe is on by default?

The FFR option is only available with RTX graphic cards. @dflorin77: I also have a GTX 1080 ti and a 8K+. For me the image in HLA or Skyrim is absolutely sharp and clear. But my experience with the pimax headset is, that you should no try to set the IPD to your real IPD. I normaly have an IPD of 64 (measured by optician) but I set the Headset to 60 to get a sharp image. btw it was the same with my 5k+

That’s similar to my experience. I’ve got my IPD set to “measured IPD” - 3 mm.

I second the recommendation to disable FFR, since the whole point of FFR is to make the image look blurrier for everything that isn’t directly in the center of the image. So if FFR has a problem, it will result in a blurrier image. I have not used FFR (and thus don’t know how to disable it) because I don’t have the option, since what I have is a 1080ti while FFR is only available on the 2000 series.

I have also 1080ti, so no FFR option to disable…

I have a 2080. I’ve used FFR on the Conservative setting. It does help increase the frame rate, but the visual artifacts can be distracting, so I prefer to leave it off. Imo, Smart Smoothing is worse.

I’m really looking forward to upgrading to an RTX 3080, so I can have a good framerate with no visual compromises.
