and use a uniform
C:\Program Files\Pimax\Runtime\resource\ pimax_default.jpg
in the post above I have one that is all black except the logo to give orientation (just save the other as pimax_default_bak.jpg or what ever).
The red pixels (and also some white ones), that can be seen on my picture, are caused by my camera and are not in the HMD. I made some comparison shots of my monitor and on those pictures the same dots appear exactly on the same positions.
Interesting…
I did not try that, but the white dot for me is the position of my dead white pixel… hmm damn it gets complicated. I wonder if those are dead pixel in the cam then that show red, and the white is my hmd dead pixel.
Thanks for the hint.
Well, that is one of my problems, getting a good shot of the dead pixel. There are a lot of visible dots on my photos, but not the one I`m searching for.
Yeah same for me - took me far too much time…
At least I thought I got one good shot - I did it with my phone before, but it was not “sharp” enough for the support, then did the Camera, sharper but as it seems at least possibly adding red dots… well in my opinion it is irrelevant - a white dot is a white dot and i would not be asking for support if it was made up and everything else fine… so sharp or not - white dot stays white dot
I was at that point too…. I was already thinking about drawing one .
It is a bit frustrating. For me especially after I got a shot and I ask " can you see it?". The Answer was, “Yes,we can see it,but not so clearly.please take more pictures.” - I mean if it would make a difference I would get it… but white is white …
my issue can be seen clearly by sight not by camera so they do need to do something about it but its like getting blood from a stone
hope you have more luck than me
Seems like it - just in this moment I got an email from PiMax asking to give my replacement address. So that is a next Step
to be honest I could have waited until i am sure they have less issues with the panels - a bit of fear that I will be collecting faulty units (and possible customs and stuff like that).
Yep, I am in the same boat. I hope they will accept my blurry picture, too. As MReis said, white is white. I don`t understand what a sharper picture would change to the fact, that there is a white dead pixel?
