I have only Oculus sensors. I’m thinking about to order or not to order Pimax’s third station. Not planning to buy Vive’s accessories.
If you don’t breathe in, the smell module won’t work
Hand-tracking module is cool but there’s lack of software. The technology is present for 2 years and still there’s not any good experiences developed except for some very basic demos. I will switch to 5k as well and don’t know what accessories to add, since most of modules are included in the Full Package.
Yea I have the first Leap Motion now and I loooove the demos. It’s the most immersive experience for hand I can even think of. No gloves, nothing. Just your real hands and doing exactly what I am doing in VR.
I really am amazed this is not implemented more in actual VR. I understand it takes time to develop for it and not many people have a Leap Motion. But it’s just too cool to ignore
As I remember Valve released a Skeletal Input API to use in games. The purpose is for developers of controllers (like knuckles) to implement it in their drivers so they automaticaly work in games which support this API. I hope (and would wonder if not) it is integrated into leap motion as well. That would mean that far more games support it in the future…
But I don’r work in that branch. So this this just speculation and half knowledge from me.
If your into flight sims some of them are starting to see leap motion support. Using your hands for the knobs and switches is pretty cool. I’m still of the opinion though the best use for the $100 voucher is towards the wireless adapter though.
Oh I completely missed the joke lol
