How interesting. I’d love to test it myself but I don’t want to risk bricking my headset.
My guess is the framing is different in that FW and PT. Perhaps if you don’t like it you would be better off using the correct versions for your headset.
But it is good to know the FW can be flashed successfully to some non 202 headsets.
You also mentioned a 120hz option which means the PT is correctly identifying your headset as that FW added 110hz to the 202 headset.
Is your FOV the same for 90hz and 120hz in Normal or is it slightly smaller in 120hz?
120hz normal fov = 90hz small fov
90hz small fov = 90hz potato fov
I am not sure, but I feel that potato fov look better than old 120hz + small fov (I think that it is smaller than this potato fov if I can’t remember wrong).
If that’s the case switch to the correct FW because that’s worse than I have.
For me 120hz normal is slightly smaller than 90hz normal but bigger than 90hz small. The big difference is 120hz normal has flat sides but 90hz normal has round sides. I prefer the round sides.
