So after testing a whole bunch of cables, I can now confirm that we have a brand of 2m & 3m DisplayPort 1.4 extension cables 100% working with the Pimax 8KX in native 4K (DSC) mode (as well as upscale mode of course). I will do a public video about this for tomorrow, on my YouTube channel!
You will of course also need 2 USB 3.0 cables in the same length to extend the 8KX cables (as the 8KX cable uses two USB connections and no external power), but I can confirm cheap AmazonBasic extensions of 2 and 3 meters works great for that purpose.
These cables also works with 8K+, 8K, 5K+, 5K Super, 5K XR and Artisan of course. Thes cables are from the brand Club 3D and here are some Amazon link:
