I saw under the 8K forum, that it will have an IPD range of 55 to 77, which is excellent for me with a 67.11 IPD 
Now, is there any chance that the 4K will also have this implemented in future versions of the HMD?
If you have seen the Mod @Sjef is performing on the 4k. Without a new design the 4k has limitations like Psvr & other headsets that rely on software ipd.
However i have seem some interesting things out there. One user here used a pair of reading glasses to make a basic ipd work around.
The real question on the 8k is what is the physical ipd range vs the software fine tuning.

I’m not confident enough to try such things out. I have a tendency to kill hardware that I tinker with 
Just as long as whatever has been done and will be done to the 8K, will allow all of us to fully enjoy visually what we expect the 8K to provide us, then I’ll be happy
