Why are most vr games looking like 90's graphics? No

Well 1983 was 8 & Commodore 64 & pets if mem serves was strong… Or at least was by Grade 2 or 3.

Consoles even with the release of Nes & Sega Master system didn’t really compare as good vs Arcade versions of Games.

Ie Super Mario, Alter Beast & Golden Axe. Arcade flavors were better.

Had a Atari 800XL with 2 Happy Drives. I bought out a BBS with over 1000 titles. Those were the days :grinning:

Its a pretty old question but there is my answer :
Because most of them are indy games, made by a couple of programmers if not lonely.

And also because you lose a lot of details since not many hmd can display detail, small ones. So they focused mostly on “fun” instead of the “whaow”.

Besides rendering all those pixels anther reason games look older is because most have small teams or even one person designing a game in 6 months to a year where AAA titles have a couple hundred people working on it for 3-5 years at a cost of over $100 million ($250 million for GTAV). It’s a catch 22 in that Rockstar won’t make a full original VR title until the VR user base is muchl arger… and the VR user base can’t grow until Rockstar (or equivalent developer) makes a full original VR title. I personally can’t enjoy pancake games anymore after living inside the worlds Fallout and Skyrim this year.
