Right now its almost 1.8M, with 16 days to go. I think we have a shot @ a 2.5M strech goal. What would you like too see? I would like a coupon for a set of 120 deg lenses as has been discussed in other threads in this forum. Any other ideas?

I think we should be doing everything we can to push it to 3-5 million… Its quite possible
My best suggestion would be creating more public awareness of the product. Start conversations on relivant VR you tube videos and forums. Theres a ton of people out theres who haven’t even heard of Pimax
Secondly I would suggest if you see anyone giving incorrect specs for the 8k kindly correct them and post a link to the reviews. The Engadget review is the most informed so far
The more money Pimax can raise with kickstarter the more chance they will produce a premium product!

More like a piece/part that you can exchange in the 8k mainboard to make it a true 8k-X.

The problem with the upgrade reward is that wouldn’t help any of us (myself included) who have backed the 8K-X. My bet is on eye tracking, that would benefit all. Probably another coupon.
You will have the choice to take 8K X but you have to pay a little difference. So we have eye tracking module and IMO a discount for a base station for headtracking…

I beleive a similar question might be in the faq? About upgrading a 5k to 8k & the answer if recall correctly was to send headset in & they would upgrade it.
With previous idea might be to have users able to pick from several options via the survey to choose coupon towards a selectable item from list.

I’ve not backed a KS for some time,in the early days I backed 30 odd projects,back then there was the Thunderclap option to bring social awareness of the project.
They seemed to have gone commercial as it was free when it started but there is a free option,think this will create the Thunderclap for a 3 day period only,just need one of you clever chaps to set it up

The problem with that is you would have very few winners, and A LOT of people disappointed in not winning. Not exactly a good atmosphere.
They need stretch goals that benefit the majority, ideally, all backers equally.
I would support a shipping coupon but the issue with that is, some areas in the world cost $95 to ship, while others are $30… (myself I live in Japan, so its $30, so free shipping doesn’t look that good compared to say “$100 coupon to use for any module”

Agreed but it’s an option that billions of people gamble on everyday,the lottery option is more of an incentive to get something for nothing may not benefit all but might convince some peeps to back the KS.
But yeah when you see some lucky sod win millions you do sort of curse them a bit.
