VRgineers Reveals Improved ‘XTAL’ Professional Headset with Wider FOV.

  • New non-fresnel lens 180 wide diagonal FOV (10’ more than last version).
  • Bigger sweet spot - less distortion.
  • IPD adjustment.
  • Embedded Leap Motion sensor for wide FOV hand-tracking.
  • Reduced weight + size.

That’s an incredible list of improvements…wow.

Please asked them for consumer version for max 2.5k $

180 diagonal. I thought the last one was 170 horizontal.

So 180 diagonal is around 150 - 160 horizontal less?

Nice! I think I remember you said the old version had quite a bit distortion, right? Can you ask them why they haven’t implemented dynamic distortion correction via eye tracking, like starVR did? Although their new version supposedly has ‘less’ distortion because of the new lenses, it seems dynamic distortion correction is the only true solution to fix it
