Valve has a vineyard?
I thought that was reserved for product launches like Half-Life Alyx.

Wine is an api to run Windows programs on Linux and is also I believe sometimes used on Mac.
Wine stands for Wine Is Not Emulator.
Steam created a branch called Proton it is there to allow games without native linux blobs to run.
