US Customs and Border Protection Create/Update Importer Identity Form

Just got an email from Fedex asking that I register as an importer? I’ve never received a request like this when ordering any product internationally.

Are there any tax or other ramifications Im agreeing to by filling out this form to get my 8kX?

I got the same from US Customs. No taxes and the importer said individual. Just send the form back to them (Customs) that is all.
