After asking Pimax support if it was ok to upgrade to the latest Piplay (1.2.85 since I intend getting a Nolo), they said all should be ok so I went ahead and did it.
Well surprise surprise what I wasn’t expecting was that it would also update the firmware in the HMD.
It seems that I now have Firmware version 1.0.0.265 as well as Piplay 1.2.85.
What can I say except it seems to be working ok at the moment.
I updated because 1.2.75 was starting to give me some problems. For example, I was having more trouble getting my 360 Videos to work from Piplay, however they now seem to be working again so that’s good.
I may be imagining it, but I think there is a little less ghosting as well.
Hopefully it will continue to work when the upgrade to Piplay 2 happens.
Interesting wonder what all is new in the firmware.
Hey luke when i installed 1.2.75 international. I only have the option in piplay to d/l 5 360 videos tge rest are missing. Did you have the same issue?
No change even with reinstalling codec. All 3d movies are there as well ad games
Though still annoying that i opted into beta & piplay nor firmware update °:nose:°:ear:
I found that the number of 360 videos that showed up in Piplay varied.
Sometimes I would get heaps so that I would have to scroll down to see them all and other times I only got a two lines of them. However I could see that there were more to the right of the Piplay screen, but no able to get to them.
Like the display manager get the X/Y grid messed up.
In this Piplay I can see all the videos again. There are 63 of them, however the ones I have already downloaded are not showing up in the downloaded page.
I spoke to support a few day ago and I suggested that they include a way to manually re-scan the lib directory.
They thought it was a good idea (I would have thought it was a no brainer to include this).
