Good. Come back after you have a better argument.
Display Link maybe is better than TPCast. And they work with Intel.
Wow, you just have to be right, don’t you?
But I do agree with you on one point… the part where you bolded the “if”:
As a company, intel is definitely better than TPcast. No arguments needed there. But I am concerned about 2 things:
- it seems like the DisplayLink requires a PCI Card, which rules out laptops. I had the links in an earlier post above
- The bandwidth technology is different from TPCAST’s and And theoretically TPCAST’s can support Pimax, while intel’s cannot.
Answering:
- I imagine that they can design something without needing a PCI card.
- The DisplayLink wireless connection follows standard rules; TPCast’s is not compatible with anything else. As far as I know, they also work for resolutions such as the Pimax “8K”, the 2 x 4K.
If you are right, that would be awesome. Hopefully, they can bring it to the market sooner than TPCAST, because I will grab the first one to come out, unless it has serious problems that cannot be resolved through a software or firmware upgrade.
I just remind you that HTC worked with TPCast and now it does with Intel and DisplayLink. I don’t know which of the two will be better, but I would wait to compare them.
Given how much I had to deal with when using TPCast throughout the last 9 months or so, I have an inkling for what I believe will be the more professional and reliable solution…
Spoiler: It ain’t TPCast.
In fact, having intitially been developed as part of HTC’s incubator, I think HTC’s CES announcement for a partnership with Intel/DisplayLink is the final nail in TPCast’s coffin. If your closest business partners don’t belive in you, who will?
