I have an IPD of 55 which is outside of your scale. And as the study which was posted in the other IPD thread by sjefdeklerk ( http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.62.6181&rep=rep1&type=pdf ) suggests there are many people with an even lower IPD than I do have. If you ask for IPD in such a way and there are not a sufficient amount of replies you will not get a full picture of all backers. The study which was linked by sjefdeklerk gives us propably the most complete and best picture we can get about IPD distribution.

According to this there was an US Army study with a sample size of roughly 6000 people. 98% of male had an IPD ranging between 56 and 72.5 than that means that there are still 2% outside of this range. If you produce headsets for 5000 backers which only covers an IPD range of 56 to 72.5 this would mean that 100 backers will have a problem with this headset! In this forum propably most users are male adults. But the headseat should also be able to be used by female. On average female tend to have a lower IPD. The US Army survey suggests that 5% of female have an IPD of 55.5 and below.Also we have to consider that we sometimes want to pass our headsets to our kids who also do have a lower IPD (see study in fist link of this post).

I just got news from my optrician that I got 66,5 which was not even close
to any of the results that I got from any self-made measure procedure.
So, just delete my 63, sorry for the inconvenience
