It was said in the Reddit AMA that there will be a breakout box like the Vive has, but it will ship as a standalone module. Can we get any more info on that before the Kickstarter ends?

wait, just to be safe. So far, they are having issues getting the headset to refresh with the 5m cable. I am going to wait until they have the final shipping prototype ready then order the longer cable. It will be available later.

For the HMD, No you cannot… Pimax 8k uses displayport not hdmi…
It’s possible to still use it plugged into pc usb for the Bluetooth base station control alone.
