I just bought a pimax last week, had the item for 4 days- very impressed with the screen quality.
However I shut down my PC and the next day I got this image when I turned on the Pimax 4k
My current PC Specs are:
Radeon Software Version - 17.1.1
Radeon Software Edition - Crimson ReLive
Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon ™ R9 390 Series
Memory Size - 8192 MB
Memory Type - GDDR5
Core Clock - 1010 MHz
Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit)
System Memory - 16 GB
CPU Type - Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
I am currently using PIP 1.2.75 - The image makes it impossible to use the vr headset. It was working fine!
Could this be a software related issue-
I also do not have multiple monitors- just one.
Any help would be appreciated it- before I send back the unit for repair.
Kind Regards,
@PIMAX-Support -this will make it easier for support to see your post.
I see s fellow r9 390.
The verticle lines did they appear after a flash of white?
Are they present in other programs?

Lines appeared as the device was powering up- just the lines- as you see on the pictures- looks like either filters are failing- or lcd display. Not sure.
Interesting. Have you tried powering down your pc disconnect pimax power up. Thr connect pimax & run piplay?
Otherwise i would hang tight & wait for @PIMAX-Support
They will likely want to see if they can setup a time for Skype session with teamview. Warrentee wise likely best to deal direct with the team here.

That is what I am thinking. I think this is just a fluke- I am very happy with the resolution!
Much better than dk2, and cv1- oculus-
BTW- you have an R9, have you been able to use upscaling I cannot for some reason.
Thank you again for the help!
If you mean virtual super resolution (vsr). Might be able in Extend/video mode but haven’t tried it.
I have set render to 2.0 & steam’s Superscale to 1.5
