I finaly make kinect working for 2mx2m
roomscale. It allow me to do horizon/vertical position tracking while using pimax as VR HMD. I just download “kinect ms/SDK” asset and try to put an VR camera attaching to the kinect rigging figure and set the right position and orientation of cameras accordingly. By the way there will be two camera, one for the scence, another for kinect to look at. It works very well. There will be more detail if anyone is interesting.
And you can use the psmove as controls in combination with this?
Edit: I mean, this is for play anithyng or for developing?

Actually I have a leap controller but don’t realy want to mess up my pimax (sticking it to the hmd). Otherwise I may be able to walk in to my painting like so.

I’m using unity3d+kinect ms/SDK to develop my 3d packages.
Somehow my kinect still doesn’ t consistency may due to onboard USB bandwith (too many devices). I will try PCI USB , hoping it help.
If anyone having trouble with kinect disconnected, an additional pci-usb card will really help.
With unity and kinect, now I can put on my pimax, walking around any of my 3d design, just the pimax’s chord a bit too short. I’d tried HDMI as well as USB extensions, unfortunately, didn’t work!
Sorry I was wrong, I’d supidily used a HDMI expansion box (with power supplied), actually , just a 4 meters HDMI extension cable (as well as USB cable) pimax is still working find.
