I contacted support yesterday to ensure that my extra face cushion and the 10m cable for the 8K (which I pledged additionally during Kickstarter) will be shipped together with either the Basestations/Controllers or the preordered 8KX to save shipping.
I got the reply that the 10m cable is not in production anymore and a store voucher was offered in return.
I wonder if anybody ever received the 10m cable, maybe I only missed it?
I planned to use the 8K as large room scale device once the 8KX arrive, so this would be quite unfortunate. Does anybody know how long the 2-in-1 cable measures which will be currently offered in the store? Does anybody succesfully extended the standard 8K cable?

If you buy something worth less than the voucher, they take the remaining value too. So you need to buy beyond the vouchers worth and give them even more money if you donât want to lose money.
Itâs ~ 5m (same cable as 5K+) and both the USB and DP can be extended fairly easy (with 5m passive extension cables).
There are several threads on the topic, but I can tell You what Iâm using on my 5K+ as the amount of data transferred should be the same (as the up-scaling in the 8K is done in the headset).
No if that was the case Pimaxquorra wouldnât have detailed it is not a store wallet. I would imagine one could raise a ticket to have a new coupon code issued for unused amount. But that needs to be clarified.
Thanks, I will follow your recommendations and will ask for a paypal refund because currently there are no interesting articles in the shop with the wireless and eyetracking module not beeing released yet. I think both will be also third party so maybe these vouchers can not be used for them.
I paid $100 extra for my 5k+ because of the âdowngradeâ recommendation from pimax. They gave us $100 coupon which in reality is a credit. I should still have the rest of the amount if I buy something that is less than $100. Thatâs how a credit works. By the way it sounds pimax is not doing that. If thatâs not the case then please correct. Anything less and pimax is stealing money.

Anything less than a refund for the cable is a scam.
Coupons are a scam. Canât use more than one at a time in their store, if you buy less than the coupon amount you forfeit the rest, canât buy â3rd partyâ itemsâŚwhich leaves you with bits of foam as your âchoiceâ.
I was lied to and scammed out of the 8k-5k+ difference. I donât want your stinking coupons I want my money back or the cable.
Theyâre so far beyond a joke but Iâll forever laugh at the cluster-f they are. Get some entertainment value from laughing at them at least.

Yes, we havenât produce the 10m cable for the mean time, and it will switch back to the normal 5m cable (previously used at 5K). Both the USB and DP can be extended with another 5m passive extension cables.
