Will join in tonight. My first tests just lacked performance and sharpness and the shadows in VR (and 2D) are still hideous.

Yes you are right. This is unfortunately in PCARS 2!
i ve got an 1080 and hope it will run. was the reason to switch my 8k to 5k+
iRacing runs great although you need parallel projection (minus 39% performance in my case). Ingame sharpening filter makes all the difference.
Assetto Corsa has good performance too and needs no parallel projection. kind of blurry.
RFactor2 has very bad performance and picturequality (needs parallel projection) badly optimized. Low resolution no matter what settings, blurry.
PCars2 is a mixed bag but better performance and PQ than rFactor2.

It may run well on gtx 1080 only if you disable postprocesing effects and medium gfx. But it will look like old Asseto then. For my visual standards 1080Ti is a minimum with fps around 75 ~82

Yata I did but paypal is still holding back my payment for the contentmanager so no key yet. Free version has no mod support.
rFactor2 even though it looks bad I still love it. Physics, Sound, FFB and AI are great.
@McErono I have free (Lite) version only ! With Shadder Patch Mod , U dont have to pay anything
