Pimax Recognized as ETHERUM LHR Miner? (It wasn't an Etherum miner)

greetings.

I had some problem with my pimax black lenses and did a downgrade of the firmware and pitool… it did run for some weeks but still had some issues why i did another firmware update with the pimax DFU tool… i loaded the Pimax DFU from the dfudrivers folder with the name p2.dfu

this broke my headset completly… it has a WHITE STATUS LED and its not fully recognized by windows anymore it says unknown USB device and LHR etherum mining device^^?

i cannot put it manually into DFU mode again and cannot update or change the firmware anymore… no tool recognizes it from pimax or elsewhere!

any IDEAS?

A miner huh? An LHR = low hash rate device. Does Pimax have internal graphics hardware?

Check incoming and outgoing packets from your router/modem, and check GPU and CPU utilization.

This better not be an HMD mining in the background.

Contact support and file a ticket.

Awesome congrats!
:beers::sunglasses::+1::sparkles:

LHR is an nVidia brand applied to the new 30XX video cards, meaning they have reduced mining throughput.

Your computer was certainly referring to your video card

It sounds like you might have used a .dfu file that wasn’t intended for your particular model of headset. (Like 5K+ instead of 8KX.) My understanding is that it’s very hard to “brick” a Pimax headset. I’m not sure what a white status LED indicates, so your best bet is to contact Pimax Support (submit a “support ticket” at: Pimax Support ).

You could try to locate a different .dfu that you know matches your headset. Two are here: Pimax Download. Then follow this firmware install procedure… Good luck!
