I think you should go look through what owners have been complaining about in the Pimax subreddit. Mixed reviews. Quality control issues. Half of the features are untested and disabled.
I’m waiting for it to hit Amazon before even considering buying it. Much easier returns.
Plus Pimax are already working on a new Headstrap for comfort. This you will have to buy separately.
Pimax keep adding this every time the previous cut off date ends. The offer is now on the next 500 units but ends on the 25th I think.
…speaking of which, I kind of wonder if HTC are getting a bit desperate… I got an email out of the blue from them the other day, offering the cable option for free, if I buy an XR Elite – said they’d dug up a record of when I bought a unit of the original Vive, back when it launched. :7

Yes, if your order is among the first 500, you will receive a DMAS.
Once you have successfully placed your order, completed the payment, and confirmed the address, the estimated delivery time is around 4 weeks.
The hardware itself is the final product, but we will be shipping an additional set of lenses and enabling the advertised features through an over-the-air (OTA) update.
While I cannot confirm compatibility with prescription lenses, I can personally attest that it works well with my glasses.

I don’t seem to be able to power off the Crystal while its USB hub is powered. Crystal reboots instead of turning off…
It’s brand new unit delivered uesterday, with latest publicly available firmware.
Only when I disconnected power from the hub, the Crystal has finally shut down properly. But it means that to charge battery in the headset I have to connect a separate USB-C cable and charger…
Any way to make the headset fully turn off without powering down the USB hub (or disconnecting cables)?
I agree same here. Battery drains while plugged into the PiMax Hub. You think the headset is off but it is not. Big big problem PiMax.
Hmm for me I don’t have to manually turn anything off, and the hub charges the headset while I’m not actively using it
So the blue light on the headset stays on then? Do you leave the power plugged in when you turn your PC off?
I haven’t checked which light stays on but yes I leave everything plugged in all the time.
Yepper, that’s what I thought, and if you unplug the HUB Power supply the battery will drain. Try it!
But why would I want to unplug the power supply? I guess I’m struggling to see what the issue is you’re having if it’s only that it drains when not plugged in

I’ve looked on the Pimax website but there’s no mention of internal memory. Portal has 128gb and 256gb models but nothing is listed for Crystal.
