Basically unless I manually turn the power off it stays on.

Serial No. starts with 102.

GTX 980Ti, i7-6700K, 16GB RAM.

Check & make sure foam isn’t obstructing the sensor just above center between eyes.

I generally use the power off when not using the hmd

It’s not, I Iet it sit for 1hr it’s still running without me touching it.

Hmm has it worked in the past?

Myself i usually power mine down to be safe & sometimes disconnect usb.

I power mine down all the time because it doesn’t power down itself.

Sounds the sensor is not working.

First I get the wrong version and now it’s potentially broken in some area. -_-…

I hear you but the on face sensor can be hit & miss.

Personally it makes the idea of a manikin head not work so well.

i think it stays on in extended mode… as it is basically another screen… it should go off when in pimax (direct) mode as the screen will be using the HMD face sensor.

can you confirm that the pimax mode is direct and not extended?
