Pimax Basestation and controlers commanded

Hi all.
As a pimax backer 68** i have some time :wink:
I just need your advice @sweviver @mixedrealityTV
I had only backed the HMD at kickstarter.
Now i have seen the basestations and controlers.
I made my command with them but i hope that it will work great.
WHat is your advice of them ?
I choose the thumbsick version because i do’nt “feel” well all trackpads :wink:

So far we haven’t seen or tested the base stations nor the controllers but yes i would also recommend going for thumbsticks, or preferably thumbstick in left hand for walking and touchpad in right for menu/game interaction. But thats of course an individual choice.

So, i hope pimax will finish them asap. :wink:
I just take this option to pay for that for two reason.
1: it feels better to me to stay in same industry for all the different parts. Compatibility would optimal.
2: the time to wait for myhmd would probably be in conjunction with the release of basestation :thinking::wink:

Hey man! Im in a bit of a predicament regarding controllers. Im used to using the PSVR left and right joystick controllers and/or joystick Move controllers for PSVR and also some use of the Xbox controller with my Pimax 4K, but Im moving away from PSVR/Pimax 4K and into Pimax 8K/5K+ and will be using the Vive controllers, I recently tried playing Gunheart with the Vive controllers and what a mess. Using the left controller for movement direction on the circular touchpad was extremely cumbersome, I never got the hang of it and shelved the game.

I have not played many Steam VR games, so if they are all like Gunheart’s Vive controller layout then Im going to need something different. So I was looking into the Pimax controllers. For me, would your recommend left and right joystick controllers, since thats what Im used to, or, if most FPShooter and/or other VR games are built around joystick for left and touchpad for right controller configuration then would this configuration be better?
