They are watching you pimel. They are watching you. They were joking around btw don’t freak the fuck out or anything.

Why would they be watching me? I don’t understand. Unless ofcourse I hit the mark with called them a shill for Oculus and HTC. Damnit, I knew it.

they were reading the thread and i presume saw you post and the reply to the post where i asked how this got so contentious. They are joking around.

Allright VR focus guys: Got something in your eye? seeing a bit blurry? Had a rough weekend maybe? Major news in VR fan land and you missed it! Normal people with normal income can get ahead of the game at home, enthusiasts who want VR to experience VR, and you let the scoop pass. What kind of focus is that? Just business? Get on it! People are very happy with these headsets, a totally new version in introduced, costs next to nothing compared to the Fail Pro. Report!! :lion:

Also, I’m a happy follower of your site so we cool. i won’t destroy you just yet.

You have 48 hours.

Kidding!

Eh? That interview was MRTV exclusive, any for-profit site that re-reports that would be infringing copyright of MRTV, without express permission. Also, unless you have a translator to translate Chinese then you have no idea about half the conversation, you only have what Sebastian decided to translate into his own words.

Fox news and CNN? They would report on somebody that told their brother that they overhead a mate saying a granny farted in in a confined space if it got them ratings. Good journalism is original and avoids fake news, or news of news, at least I hope they strive for that.

I am fed up of the internet crawling with bad quality reporting. Just like the Turkish guy that released game benchmarks of the RTX 2080 Ti, all the lazy tech journalists rashly reported his results, some passing it off as “breaking” until it was discovered he copied half of his results from somebody else who got it wrong and made the rest up himself. He took the article down in the uproar but people are still repeating the news sites that originally copied it and saying it as fact.

Do you think Pimax should just release a press statement of where they are now, what they have recently done and where they are going. That is official new news which they are accountable for. Then you can add to that tidbits from the event as general backer opinions.

That to me would make the most sense and not sure why it hasn’t been done yet.

Yeah, that was a bit sad. It wasn’t that out-dated though. Some of it was a week old.

I too want to hear something positive from the channels.

@D3Pixel @jeroen @destraudo etc

I think the bad news about Pimax 8k being delayed back then was taken right from the forum and only for KS backers.

A news outlet working with such info should also report on the major progress found there or just work with media material and press invited events like all the other news pages that covered Pimax for their public demos. Anything else is double standard in order to post bad news only IMO
The 3 culprits I found I already posted.

Do you mean the official statements from Pimax forum posts? If so then yeah. That is what I would report on too. O.o

I guess they could write about the 3 testers at the Berlin event and just roll with that too but why are they not doing that?

I think what really needs to be said is if you are a VR focused publication, then it should be a duty and responsibility to your readers to keep your newshounds on the case for any new information. The VR net at the moments isn’t so wide that there are things to miss easily. So it boils down to ignorance not following what is going on with one of the upcoming players in HMD business. The fact that they are in the dark about the Pimax 5K+ and recent developments speaks volumes about how these websites are operating. Sometimes you have to get up off your ass and source some news. Not sit on your butt and wait for it to fall on your press-release fed lap. The fact that google alerts and such like can make sourcing easier means there really is no excuse.

Why isnt Pimax releasing any information about their new product? Why are they relying on youtubers to announce their products come the 16th? Pimax needs to come out with an official press release on what they are doing. They have completely stopped talking to everyone and instead are using the testers as their primary media arm.

To think the likes of RoadToVR are unaware of the Berlin meeting is just daft.

I’m honestly pretty sure that is not how that works, particularly in regards news. It could actually drive a lot of traffic to mrtv’s site if they mention interview and link to it from article.

i mean vr focus told me they had no idea it was going on and didnt know about it period till i told them, so its less daft than you think.

I am. But of course Sebastian would be thrilled to have RoadToVR report his piece. The traffic he would get would be a great boost.

Other outlets report each other under an agreement. The BBC do that in the UK when they discuss the front pages of other papers, the don’t actually discuss the authors opinion but just go on to talking about what they are talking about too.

Games journalism is shit. It has no credibility hence why publishers, developers and their respective audiences are turning to the likes of Youtube for their kicks.

Although we might be happy with the current results, I suspect Pimax would rather more concrete news before shouting about it with press-releases.

they are reading the topic and that probably hurt a lot , but remember, they are the only ones who replied to me so maybe the pick of the litter rather than the one to be ignored.

Aye, I used to read Gamespot in the day. Nowadays a 5 min YT video of the actual gameplay is enough to make me decide. I do read RoadToVR quite regular though.
