hi I have a 5k xr happens that when I see a movie in vr after some time the screens turn off the pimax stays on, and everything on the pc seems to go on except that xon the pimax screens that are turned off. Have any of you had this problem and solved it?
It’s the screens that go into standby mode:
https://community.openmr.ai/t/standby-mode-time/19810
You should be able to disable it if You follow the instructions mentioned in that thread:
https://community.openmr.ai/t/standby-mode-time/19810/4?u=drwilken
Just remember that if You do this “hack” the screens will never go into standby (or they will after 14400 minutes - 240 hours - 10 days). You can also set it to maybe 120 minutes or so or 180?
as always, thank you for your help, I will try to do it this way. I think pimax has sold an unripe product. A consumer should enjoy the product and not try to solve a thousand problems.
As soon as they open source the latest beta for PiTool I’m going to add options to change the screen and controller/tracker timeout settings from the UI as they don’t seem to be willing to do it themselves.
ok as soon as you do let me know
Awesome as they quite often seem to be running into many directions with mapping one efficiently.
I am looking forward to even just Pitool being Opensourced as we can also likely get a pitool min steamvr overlay for options that do not req a steamvr restart.
@Heliosurge I advise you to post any open source requests you’d like to see implemented over at /r/Pitool so that they have greater exposure, make a topic with a request flair as new pitool versions will also be posted there.
@Heliosurge May we please get a pin for the open source subreddit topic and a comment indicating you pinned it? Thanks
I will pin this topic but something has changed in forum layout as I was trying to pin a new Banner.
Wrong topic. Can you link me?
