Pimax 5k+ will not switch to gyro tracking mode after the latest update

So, I have no lighthouses and have been using the internal tracker in games. However, after opting not to use room setup, I still get an error message and no tracking when playing games. Is there a way to force the software to accept use of the internal tracker ?

Did you switch off Lighthouse Tracking in PiTool? Maybe that got reset
