Pimax 4K with Chinese version firmwear can use Oculus 0.6 or 0.8 runtime directly

Hi guys,
if you got the pimax 4K goggles with a chinese versioin firmware inside. or your Piplay couldn’t recognize the HMD, you can uninstall the piplay and use Oculus 0.6 or 0.6 runtime directly.
i tried and it works.
now, the all the steam VR and Oculus Home games works fine. haha:)

Got the same problem, and I try to install Oculus 0.8 runtime, and it is working prefect.

I have the englisch Version: Does anyone know if the oculus runtime 0.6 works with the english Firmware?

yes, Since i can read a little chinese, So i signed in their chinese BBS, and one guy told me there is a special tool could set the Pimax’s goggle enter the compatible mode. i think this tool could also work with the english firmware.
