Pimax 4k Blur and can not change the resolution

Hi everyone, Today i get my Pimax 4k Looks very nice but i can not Change the Resolution the Resolution is 1920*1080 and Grey can not Change anything. if i look into the Pimax the Picture is terrible. i try to use Pimax mode and direct mode and extend mode all the same. if i Close one eye the Picture look like better. with both eyes blur blur and blur again. Has anyone the same Problem or is my Pimax damaged??? Please Help me THX My Grafik Card is Nvidia 980SC with I7 Cpu 16GB Ram i use Windows 10

Not sure what your eyesight is like. I am near sighted and have to take off my glasses for it to be clearer.

i have no glasses i see very well. but now i have the next big Problem i try to update the Firmware from 180 to 194 and now the pimax 4k led blink blue red and green and nothing happend.After 15 Minutes blinking i have restart my pc and disconnect the pimax always blinking :slight_smile: oh my god what a big shit.

OK now the Firmware upgrade blinking Problem is solved. it works now i try to Change the Resolution maybe it works. and i have a better Picture Quality. i hope so.

no the same i can not Change anything in my System Settings the Resolution is 19201080 and Grey. can anyone Change the Resolution to 38402160 in the System Settings???

maybe now it works better i deinstalled everything update all Firmware to 1.0.0.194 and piplay to 1.1.74 :slight_smile:

I’m still new to the PIMAX too. I just got it a few days ago. From what I’ve read on this forum, it does not currently run at native 4K resolution from the PC even though the HMD itself is 4K. See the post below.

Welcome to Pimax buddy. Those aren’t technical problems its just Pimaxes poorly designed optics and software

Your best option is to recover as much money you can and RMA it back to gearbest.

blur is a problem on some of the sets. No fix other than a exchange or refund, but read Davobkk’s advice.

You need a decryption key for whatever it is you are trying to share.

I don’t know why the Pimax company locks the resolution…
