Sweviver mentioned this evening that they found a 2 meter ext. At CES that they think has a pretty high probability of working, they are going to test it and let us know if it works.

It’s a fiber optic cable. Basically, it’ll be transporting photons, not electrons.
Photons are extremely inefficient in transmitting power.
The HMD will need power. This cable is only good for the signal, not for the electricity requirements. Maybe with a massive Li-Ion battery as extra, but nah too much of a hassle.

The power is handled by the USB connections (one for signal, one for power on the 8KX).
You can easily extend a USB cable by using active/repeater cables and for the power-only USB cable You can use a USB power plug with an extension cord of You want to.
