From what I am gathering so far it looks like just another self aggrandizing corporate event where nothing of any real news where divulged.
It is a good morale booster for the troops though so I cannot object to it

This 15 million $ deal seems to be great, isn’t it? I think it’s worth a topic here and I really do wonder that Pimax has not stated a thing about it here. I just know of this, because I follow VR Nerds on Facebook and they posted an article today. I’m really eager to know what it is all about and how this effects the Pimax 8k. Can they now use better hardware/chips/sensors whatever? Can they solve certain issues better now because they can buy some tech assistance, I mean more employee for specific hardware/software developments? I’ve got a lot of questions about this, e.g. also questions about negative effects, because the deal could have some bindings to the interest of the investorr, things that are not so in the focus of Pimax or are contrary to their way they want to go… could be, could it not? Perhaps it hasn’t an effect at all for the 5k/8k/8kx and only effects future projects… whatever, I really would appreciate some informations on this topic.

Agreed more info would be good to see how things are developing. On the plus PiMax is definitely going places. Chips wise as in the bridge chip from analogics from my sesrches with google the current chip seems to be what is currently available on the market as potenially best option. However thats not to say the team isn’t checking out options like seeing if Analogics has something better in the oven.
