Hello , i am a new user ( received my pimax yesterday) followed installation tutorial ,turned off anti virus down loaded piplay ,steam vr etc but cant get a picture on the head set .Sound is fine no issues piplay recognises headset and says all is good … steam vr recognises headset ,lets me set up goes green etc . Checked device manager and it say no drivers available for it ( yellow triangle next to it )…has anybody any ideas …all help will be greatly appreciated

they don’t mention it but you must put the headset on your face for it to show a picture. it has a sensor that shuts it off if you don’t have it on. got me too.

Awesome we may need to wait for support. But just to confirm even Piplay experiences not working?
Or when you put headset on with piplay connected to headset if you cover sensor/wear you should see pimax word in outer space.
@PIMAX-Support has an awesome feature skype with teamviewer; however with different timezones may take a bit to find a time that works.
the pimax is powering up fine ,the screen is blank but you can see that its receiving power but no pimax logo or word in space … i get the feeling that its driver related but we will see
Another thing to try if your mb has onboard video ensure its disabled in bios & device manager.
funny enough some one on the Facebook elite dangerous page suggested exactly the same … cant find the option in device manager or bios so i think it only enabled if you have APU … hey i am really getting to know my way around Bios and device manager lol

Indeed though with apu though sometimes a mb might have its own igpu.
Can you please tell me when you launch piplay and click on it bottom right in your task bar can you choose video mode… Does hmd then show Kodi video player… Is anything in your hmd at all?
nothing on HMD at all in either mode , including ipd adjustment. window will show it as additional display on display settings but screen is black.
So you get an additional screen? Can you try going to display manager and make the pimax screen default. Then look in the hmd… Can you see anything then?
not a sausage ,nada ,zilch …switched it as main display but still bugger all
that is actually helpful. thanks for that. can you please unplug both the USB and HDMI and then plug in USB 1st (another port if possible) and then HDMI. see if piplay can detect the HMD, after doing this can you see anything in the HMD now?

Nope still nothing ,picked up by piplay but nothing displayed
can you uninstall piplay and reinstall again for us please, obviously make sure AV is disabled, the fact your device manager is saying there are no drivers makes me wonder if the 1st installation actually completed properly?
Another thing just to confirm you are using a native hdmi port on the graphics card?
My one man crusade against the lack of driver continues unabated… yup it the HDMI straight off card no adaptors or splitters and am now on the third install of pimax ,still no joy . have tried rolling back nvidia drivers but still nothing …
