The new beta version(1.1.92) of piplay is ready now, u can get it by set “Participation Piplay Beta Version” as follows.
After updating the new piplay beta, u should update new beta firmware, otherwise some feather would not been supported.
There are some new feathers supported by the version
Add debug tool, u can check ur pc environment, and if any problem arrive, u can tar all log and send it to us, then we could analyze it
Doesn’t change anything when selected, I’m assuming because I have to update firmware. But I can’t, because PiPlay is junk and tells me server is not healthy.
ok! thx. It’s easier with new version indeed.
Sorry…but I’ve another question: after viewing the install demo on YouTube, I was looking for the OCsupport_setup file. Where can I find this app?
I tried manually flashing the firmware with the Pimax update software provided on this forum, but I try flashing, the goggles just blink forever, and then I have to use command line to pull it out of DFU mode because that piece of software doesn’t work either and the “Return from DFU” button doesn’t work.
They fucked up Piplay and now I can’t connect to the software, change IPD, change color tone, anything. All I can do is use it as an extended monitor with no user changeability.
This piece of shit company has a few days before I return this junk. I love to be a beta tester for a falsely advertised product.
I tried downgrading to that already and I still had connection issues. Did you uninstall all C++, Java, and all the other Runtimes before reinstalling?
Are you using integrated graphics or you have dGPU?
Nothing changed for me. Application once again just gave me “Network is not well. We’re sorry for inconveniencing you” message and it keeps searching forever.
Inconveniencing? Ya, I think a $400 HMD that’s marketed as 4K and doesn’t even work with the software is slightly inconveniencing.
