My Headset will not go into ready mode need a little help!

@PIMAX-Support

I’m new to vr and i recieved my pimax early today. i did the setup as instructed but i think there was a power flick when the firmware was updating and my headset stays on a green light and will not work can anybody help please?

This maybe a silly question but dud you try on the headset? There is a sensor to detect if its being worn.

This is located between the 2 lenses middle top.

Otherwise what is your system specs?
Windows version
Cpu/ram
Gpu/driver version
Piplay version
Headset’s firmware

yes i did but still nothing

windows 10 pro 64 bit, Desktop
intel i5-2320 @3.00Ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 ti Version 385.41
Piplay v.1.2.97 (tried earlier versions none worked)

unsure what the headset firmware is, how do you find out what firmware you have?

If piplay connects to the headset it’s displayed on that startup screen.

I can’t say but the 1050 ti might give you a low gpu warning & load piplay in limited mode. I believe in settings there is an option to enable full version.

With you cpu ensure you have igpu disabled in bios.

Support should be on soon & if your online they can setup a skype with teamview & help directly

Its come good now just looking at it. Try again tomorrow because i have to go to work now

Thank you verry much for trying

Have a nice day

Edit: Usually we need to check the connection of the headset, and then check the driver’s version and completeness of discrete graphics if the indicator light is green.

Actually I did many wrong operations and this issue was resolved by reinstalling NVIDIA driver 384.94 manually.

Just for a curiosity record, getting back from oculus, my headset is no longer display even through the headset is in green light.Since I used to have my headset with extension cables (both HDMI and USB), then I decided to connect directly to the PC connector without additional cables, now it is working (but only in 1k mode). I wonder it used to work properly even in 2K mode ( I used HDMI “active” connector for cable extension).

Hi, I met this issue (only 1K resolution available) in solving the subject issue for @Alien. At that time, he used an adapter that converts DVI port to HDMI port that used for Pimax headset. When I uncheck the checkbox " 1920*1080 resolution", the helmet appeared Green light + black screen + Piplay detected Pimax headset phenomenon. Finally it worked normally after I reinstalled Nvidia driver 384.94. Maybe some NVIDIA setups were mixed, not sure.
