They did say the internals are the same. If you fly to Nova Scotia we can compare.

Well concernig the different “warpings” I’m sure that it does not have anything to do with any display being used. So it is no 8k/5k question.
Just a guess but a very comprehensable one:
We already know of heavy “iterations” (I’d call them deviations in quality) of the housing, the displays, the face pads.
So it is no base action to suspect those deviations on the lenses as well.
Just saying…
Are there other users who can confirm the difference in distortion betwean the two headsets?
