Hey guys! As a backer number 2 and 9, I felt I just had to visit VR Days in Amsterdam last week and try out the Pimax 8K that I have pledged with 2 units. This was mainly to convince myself if I really have made the right decision pledging on Kickstarter. @SweViver thanks for the review. I’ve watched your channel for a while now and I know you know quality vr. Can’t wait to see what the next two prototypes have to offer. It’s been quite a lot of excitement. Thanks again. As someone who also has played room scale vr every day almost for almost two years now, its good to hear from someone similar to myself give a first hand look.

@SweViver would you say the screen clarity is comparable to a 1080p gaming monitor?
If not, what resolution monitor would you equate it to?

I had really an awesome experience with the Pimax 8K. The clarity is dufficult to compare to a monitor of course, but it was waaay sharper than any other headset I have tried and definitely sharper than the Acer MR headset as well that I tried right after my second Pimax session.
Its difficult to explain the immersion, the improvement with the wide FOV and resolution, but all I can say is that it’s a huge step from current gen.
