In my case, it seems binary. One or the other. Friction really increases as the screws start to thread for me.
Who knows, maybe the threads are coarse or something.
With the metal hinges, I didn’t find this possible. Maybe I didn’t finish my due diligence on that though…

At this point, I feel I have exhausted my options. The thread diameter is apparently ~1.55mm. I cannot even find ~40mm screws with anywhere near that thread.
The Phillips heads used on my hinge pins are indeed worn down. For now,I have mostly finished testing various hinges, so I am hoping to avoid ruining them completely. I have dedicated a screwdriver to never be used for any other purpose. Nevertheless, it is likely I will be placing a request with Pimax support for replacement pins…
