Has anyone else reported the warping on the 8k demo?

Most of us are aware of the Tested review of the Pimax 8k, while they did say that the headset would be great for video and desktop use, they ultimately couldn’t recommend it because they experienced warping at the edges that made it feel like you weren’t immersed in a 3d world. This was possibly a result of incorrect IPD settings as Pimax has stated that they do compensate for screen angle and there should be no warping in their headset.

That said, have there been any other reviewers reporting this experience? Has there been a definitive answer to this complaint at all? I’m very interested in backing this project, but I’ve been put off by the conclusions drawn in the Tested review and I’m sure there are many others that also want this complaint addressed.

He already known, you can read in this topic

I’ve read through a lot of that, but there doesn’t seem to be much of an answer, just speculation about possible incorrect IPD settings. What I’m asking is has there been any other reports of warping around the edges from other people who have demoed the 8k?

Please read since this post, pimax already reply, they will make other and expert to review soon.

That’s cool, will they give tested another review? They are the most reliable vr source imo and so far they can’t recommend it. And does that mean the issues were in the current version and are fixed in the latest one?

Pimax tell that issues is solved already, so we will wait for next update version and review.
