Hand Tracking Module = Inside-Out Tracking Module?

Hi everyone!

I think I read some time ago on the kickstarter page that the hand tracking module will support inside-out tracking.
Is the hand tacking module actually the same as the inside-out tracking module?
Or are these completely different things and I just got confused by some comments?

Also interesting to know more about this. Pledge 100$ more or not… What for I need it? What will can I do with it? Will it give me virtual keyboard in bigscreen/virtualdesktop etc apps?
